After the disciples returned to Jesus He desired to take them to a quiet place to rest. They took a ship and sailed across the Sea of Galilee, but a multitude of people ran around the lake and met them on the other side. Jesus was filled with compassion and began to teach them many things till late in the day.
When evening came the disciples wished Jesus to send the multitude away to find something to eat, but Jesus told the multitude to sit down while He brake the five loaves and two fishes to feed them. In a miraculous way He fed five thousand men, as well as many women and children, before He sent them home.
